Here ya go:
Some of my improvised live looping stuff:
memaxbill_loopstock2003.mp3 9.4Mb, 9:39
From Loopstock 2003 in San Louis Obisbo, featuring Max Valentino - bass, and Bill Walker - guitar, midi guitar. I play udu drum, tounge drum, shakers, and drum kit on this one (along with loops, of course).
memark_slojam_edit.mp3 8.9Mb, 8:30
Recorded fall '02, this one features Mark Sottolaro - guitar, midi guitar, loops. I'm using a live drum kit and percussion to make loops which I then process.
mematthias_loopstock2002.mp3 11.2Mb, 10:53
This one is from Loopstock 2002 in San Louis Obisbo, featuring Looping Pioneer extraordinare Matthias Grob - guitar, loops. I am very happy to have met and become friends with Matthias during a month long visit to the US from Brazil.

This track is part of an online collaboration between me and "dimbulb" on the yahoo groups repeater-users email list. I made a percussion loop with Egyptian riq, frame drum, and tamborine, and posted it to the list. "Dimbulb" added his guitar parts to it to make this final loop. This one is best if you set your mp3 player to repeat it.

Here's one that might only be fun to people interested in "out there" ryhthms. Here's the quick explaination: Its a four bar 4/4 loop at about 80bpm. Bars one and three, are septuplet (7lets) subdivisions, and bars two and four are sextuplet or sixteenth note triplets (6lets) subdivisions. It actually grooves! Try this one on repeat too (and experiment with panning, to hear different instruments Left = drum set, Right = tamborine + australian clave).

These two are just short little loops I made in the first 20 minutes after getting my new MicroKorg keyboard. Rick Walker gave me a 15 minute lesson over the phone on how to play in several different modes, and suggested I try it out. Thanks Rick! I've had so much fun fooling around with both analog sound design and basic musical theory on this keyboard!

tabla.mp3 64Kb, 0:04
These three are short loops that I made the first night I got my Korg Wavedrum. There's also a bit of the microkorg in the "mellow" loop. The wavedrum is a rare drum synth with a real drum interface - a microphone and pressure transducer are placed under the head, and there’s a rim sensor too. All these are fed into the FM synthesis module to make some incredibly cool and expressive sounds. The tabla patch out of the box completely blew me away! Wanna know more? I started a yahoo group for the wavedrum: Korg Wavedrum Yahoo Group
